Experience the restored section of canal from the water. Cruise the 3 miles from Vines Park Droitwich Spa, through the attractive area of Salwarpe to Ladywood, where the locks start to descend to the River Severn. Our trip Boat the Pamela May takes up to 10 passengers in comfort and has a chair lift for those with mobility problems. The return cruise is about two and a half hours, allowing time to visit the locks at Ladywood.

‘Elizabeth of Glamis’, named in honour of HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in the year of her 100th birthday, is a purpose-built all-steel narrowboat in traditional style, 70 feet long, 7 feet in beam, drawing 25 inches of water.  She is powered by a four-cylinder CB Marine diesel engine, and cruises comfortably up to the 4 mph, canal speed limit, auxiliary mains is provided by a 24 to 240 volt inverter. Like all passenger vessels, she is subject to an annual safety inspection on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard agency, and carries the required range of safety and life-saving equipment (even if we’ve never had to use any of it!)

Tivertonian is a traditionally painted wide beam 75 seater horse-drawn barge. It is carpeted throughout, and has comfortable upholstered seating and modern flush toilet facilities. The barge has large sliding picture windows which can be pushed down to create an open air atmosphere on find summer days and evenings, or closed when it is necessary to keep the barge warm.

The boat has a capacity of 50 passengers, a crew of 3 and can cruise at a maximum speed of 4 m.p.h.
