Chelmer & Blackwater - Chesterfield Canal - Coventry Canal Nuneaton Moor next to the football stadium. If you go up to the street there, and turn left, and go on a ways until you come to a sort of high street looking area, and then turn right (it is a T intersection) you will find a launderette on the right, about 1/2 walk away altogether. Also at that mooring is a grocery store, and some takeaways, the Chinese one is fairly decent. We've never been bothered there, but I wouldn't moor up there on a game night either. About 2 miles from Canal at Hopwas and about 1 mile from Canal at Glascote Basin Ring Gwen (manageress) on 01827 68712 and they will collect and redeliver sometimes same day or next for £3 extra within 5 mile area which includes lots of village areas including Fazeley & Fradley Canal Basins This launderette is only 200 yds from Tamworth centre and only 100yards from River Tame and the River Anchor. Launderette open 7 days a week from 8.30 - 6,00pm weekdays. Excellent service and very reasonable prices especially large washes Grand Union Canal Berkamstead There is a laundrette at Berkamsted with the usual 8 or 10 machines. If you moor near the Supermarket, take any of the lanes/paths up to the High Street and turn right. Depending upon which path/road you walked up, the place will be a few hundred yards along the road, on the opposite side. Roughly just before you come to the chippy and other take-aways(!) on the right, the laundrette is on the same (left) side as, and one block past, a useful car accessories shop! (Good for tools, oil and suchlike.) Braunston There is a coin-op machine in Braunston marina, along with the coin-op pump-out. Both good value. Foxton There is a machine at Foxton Boat Services. Rickmansworth Scrub A Rub Dub, 70 Church Lane, Mill End, Rickmansworth. G. U. C. Leicester Section Barrow on Soar The launderette at Barrow on Soar is now closed. Kennet & Avon Canal Devizes Market Place Laundrette. Moor between bridges 140 and 141, walk west to 141 just past the Kennet Lock(No.50). Cross the bridge and walk maybe 200 yds towards the town square. Laundrette is on left 50 yds past the brewery. 6 machines Mon-Thu 8.30-7.00 Fri 8.30-6.00 Sat 9.00-6.00 Sun closed. Last wash 1 hr prior to closing time. Lancaster Canal Galgate Marina Park, Canal Wharf. Nateby Bridge House Marina, Between bridge 64 and 65. Leigh The launderette in Leigh is at 20 Leigh Road. This is the northward continuation of the road that crosses the canal at the visitors' moorings, and the launderette is some 12 minutes' walk away. One passes Netto, a no frills, no bags, no baskets supermarket with some very attractive prices. Llangollen Canal Ellesmere Victoria St. From canal basin, turn left at high street, go about two blocks to main road, turn right. About four doors down on right side. Opens at 08h00 daily. Last wash at 18h45. Llangollen The town has an excellent one. Across the big stone bridge over the River Dee, carry straight on up the road to the T junction at the end and turn left, 50 yds along? and it's on your left. Whitchurch In shopping plaza near station, next to a supermarket. (on A525?) Moor in the basin to save on walking to shops and launderette. Macclesfield Canal - Middle Level Navigations Fox Narrowboat Holidays Mommouthshire & Brecon Canal - Montgomery Canal - Oxford Canal Oxford Abingdon Road about 1/2 mile from the pub Head of the River (on, of course, the river). Direction is South, away from the centre of town. About 6 machines and dryers. Peak Forest Canal Whalley Bridge Close to Post Office, not sure about service wash as we did not ask, lots of machines. Regent's Canal One for the Regent's Canal and Grand Union Paddington Arm The Laundrette Centre on Clifton Road W9 a very short walk from the Maida Hill tunnel - most of the staff are extremely helpful and pleasant and will do an excellent and speedy service wash - even pairing your socks for you. They are open 8-7 Sun-Fri and 9-6 on Saturdays Rochdale Canal - River Avon Pershore On the main street behind the Co-op, near the recreation ground moorings. Tewkesbury Near the Cross in the centre of town, five minutes from Healing's Mill. River Cam - River Great Ouse - River Lee - River Ouse (York) - River Severn - River Thames Oxford Abingdon Road about 1/2 mile from the pub Head of the River (on, of course, the river). Direction is South, away from the centre of town. About 6 machines and dryers. Pangbourne Go into Pangbourne under the railway bridge. Turn right at the George Hotel. Turn right again at T junction (The Copper Inn is opposite). Laundrette is 30 yards on right. River Trent - River Wey - Selby Canal - Shropshire Union Canal Nantwich At Nantwich Canal Centre. About 150 yards from moorings. Open most days from 9(?) to 5(?).(Now Open Easter Monday) Big machine for "service loads," smaller machines for DIY. About 4 dryers. Market Drayton The only launderette here is a very long walk away (about 1 mile) on the A53 on the far side of town. Staffs. & Worcs. Canal Kidderminster There is now one at Kidderminster close to the canal called Forest Wash, with 8 washers and 5 driers. If you get off below Kidderminster Lock and walk west along the ring road for about 100 metres (away from town), go down a slip road to the left and it is straight in front of you. Also a gents & ladies hairdressers there called Cutting Korner, both open 7 days, phone 0781 39 56 576 . Sainsburys is also on the opposite side of the ring road, above Kidderminster Lock. Anderton BW Facilities Barton Turns Barton Turns Marina,Obtain keys and tokens from shop. Great Hayward There is a new launderette that as opened at Great Hayward it is just over the bridge at Hayward lock behind the pub but i cant think of the pub name, it opened this year(2004) in August and uses 50p and £ coins. Middlewich Middlewich Narrowboats - they take in service washes during the week when their boats are all out, very good service and reasonable prices. Orchard Marina Nr. Rudheath I think really it's for the boats that moor in the Marina, two machines, cheap, but probably best to ask at the marina if you can use it. Watch out for the door catch, we shut the door behind us and could not get out (managed to rattle the door and get a key in to push the latch). Red Bull BW Offices Washing machines and driers now available at the BW Offices at Red Bull. The machines are card operated, the cards are available from all BW offices. NB The Red Bull office is closed Saturday And Sunday. Worcester & Birmingham Canal Alvechurch Marina We have a token operated laundry facility on the Marina at Alvechurch, 0121 445 1133 Deposit required for key when purchasing the operating tokens from the marina shop.
