Canal festivals and events are held throughout the year, in summer almost every week-end there will be an event taking place where you can enjoy good music, and a friendly atmosphere.
Festivals vary in size, at some of the largest ones there will be dozens of boats moored, fields are made available for caravans and tents, plus car parking for hundreds of visitors.
Amongst the things you will find at a festival are restored historic boats, morris dancing, folk music, boat trips, stalls of every description, trade stands and of course the beer tent.
