You need to be early or lucky to get a mooring spot here in the basin, so close to the lovely little town.

Wrenbury

Near the old bridge as you approach Wrenbury going towards Llangollen, nice quiet moorings, with a path that leads across to the Cotton Arms, who do an amazing mixed grill. I love to walk down and watch boaters struggle through the electric bridge, especially when all the hire boats are in and you can't get the right angle to line up the boat; lots of red faces as the boat bangs from side to side.
