"Birmingham and Fazeley Canal "

The Birmingham and Fazeley Canal is a canal in the West Midlands of England.
It runs from the Birmingham Canal Navigations main line at Old Turn Junction (near the National Indoor Arena), Birmingham to the Coventry Canal) at Fazeley Junction, just outside Tamworth. This stretch runs 15 miles (24 km) through 38 locks.
Technically the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal extends northwards beyond Fazeley Junction to Whittington, near Lichfield as the Coventry Canal Company had run out of money by the time they reached Fazeley.
It also has a one mile (2 km) branch called the Digbeth Branch Canal containing 6 locks.
The Birmingham and Fazeley Canal forms part of the Warwickshire ring.
John Smeaton was the engineer.
